Sizing Guide: Chains, Bracelets, Rings and Earrings

Everything is listed in millimeters and centimeters. Here's how to work out what you need.

Chains and necklaces

Our chains come in 40cm, 50cm and 60cm as standard. Some pieces run 45cm, 55cm and 65cm instead. The length is always in the dropdown on the product page.

Length Inches Where it sits
40cm 16" Tight to the base of the neck, choker territory
45cm 18" Just below the collarbone
50cm 20" Mid chest, sits on a t-shirt
55cm 22" Lower chest
60cm 24" Sternum
65cm 26" Below the sternum, sits over a hoodie

Not sure? 50cm is the most popular length and works on most people. If you're tall or broad, or you want it over a hoodie, go 60cm.

Layering two chains? Leave at least 10cm between them so they don't tangle.

How to measure

Take a piece of string, hang it round your neck where you want the chain to sit, mark it, then measure the string flat against a ruler.

Bracelets

Bracelets come in 16cm, 18cm, 20cm and 22cm depending on the piece.

Length Inches Fits wrist
16cm 6.3" Small, most women
18cm 7.1" Average, most men and larger women's wrists
20cm 7.9" Larger
22cm 8.7" Big wrists

How to measure

Wrap a tape measure or a strip of paper around your wrist, snug but not tight, just below the wrist bone. That's your wrist size.

Then add:

  • 1cm for a tight fit
  • 2cm for a normal fit, the way most chunky bracelets are worn
  • 3cm for a loose fit that moves around

So an 18cm wrist with a normal fit means you want a 20cm bracelet.

Heavier pieces sit lower. If you're buying something wide and heavy, go up a size rather than down.

Rings

Our rings run US sizes 6 to 11.

US UK EU Inside diameter
6 L 52 16.5mm
7 N 54 17.3mm
8 P 57 18.2mm
9 R 59 19.0mm
10 T 62 19.8mm
11 V 65 20.6mm

How to measure

Easiest way: take a ring you already own that fits the right finger, measure the inside diameter in millimeters, and match it to the table above.

No ring to measure? Wrap a strip of paper around your finger, mark where it overlaps, measure the length in millimeters, then divide by 3.14 to get the diameter.

Two things worth knowing

Fingers swell in heat and shrink in cold. Measure at the end of the day, at room temperature, for the most accurate result.

Wide bands fit tighter than thin ones. Most of our rings are wide. If you're between sizes, go up.

Earrings

Hoop and dangle measurements are listed in millimeters on each product page. Hoop sizes refer to the outer diameter.

All earring posts and hoops are solid stainless steel, safe for healed piercings.

Every chain lists its link width in millimeters. That's the width of a single link at its widest point, not the whole chain.

  • 6mm to 10mm — everyday, works under a shirt, layers well
  • 13mm to 15mm — noticeable, sits on top of a tee
  • 20mm and up — hero territory, this is the whole outfit
